The US hands out between 11 and 52 billion of our tax dollars annually to the wealthiest and dirtiest corporations on the planet. On August 4th, in line with 350.org’s global End Polluter Welfare campaign, Massachusetts residents will gather across the region and engage in a day of action to end these subsidies for deadly energy like coal, natural gas, and oil, that wreak havoc on our health, environment, and climate.
350 Massachusetts is sponsoring Spare Change for Big Oil! actions to find out how Americans really feel about these subsidies, and there are a variety of other solidarity events taking place on August 4th.
